Given Joe’s history with creating content, we believe he was able to fully utilize the custom CLX Ra we sent his way.

Since 2016 we’ve been designing and building custom gaming PCs for gamers, streamers, and content creators alike. While we offer a wide variety of options including chassis customizations, a huge catalogue of components, custom print, paint, and more. The system we built and shared with Joe was a solid, sleek design meant to look great and perform better in virtually any space. Let’s take a look at the specs for this specific build:

Chassis: RA Evolv X Mid Tower (Silver)
Motherboard: ASRock Z590 Steel Legend ATX
CPU: Intel i7 11700K 3.60GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6 GPU
RAM: 16GB of DDR4 (2x8GB)
Storage: 500gb NVMe SSD and an additional 4TB HDD for secondary storage
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G5 – 80 Plus Gold 75
Cooling: 7x CLX RGB Fans and CLX Quench 360 Closed Liquid Cooler

Keeping in mind this PC was shipped just before Intel released 12th gen CPUs, and at the height of GPU scarcity, it was a beast of a machine. Able to easily stand up to the expectations even a year later, let’s take a look at how it was utilized by CGMagazine almost a year ago. As noted in the specs, this build features the Evolv X Chassis, a staple case for the CLX Ra that features great designs and easy internal access. Despite being slightly larger than their expectations, Joe notes the “whisper-quiet” fans and low temperatures offered by this setup.

As Joe explains, he used this system for “an unhealthy amount of gaming, streaming, video production and editing to test its real-world capabilities.” A (mostly) great thing to hear from a reviewer (We recommend keeping things healthy though!). When it comes to performance and metrics, we always like to refer back to the original article, you can find this one here. But if you want the brief synopsis the system kills it when gaming + streaming in 1080p and handles capturing two 4K resolution feeds without issue.

One thing we’d like to mention is Joe’s experience with the PC and running DaVinci Resolve. Getting feedback about gaming is great, but in comparison we rarely hear about editing software. For those unaware, video editing software is incredibly taxing on your PC, even at just 1080p resolutions. Despite using multiple layers of graphics, colour correction, audio, and long videos simultaneously; Joe notes fast render times and zero lag. In 2021, at the height of the GPU scarcity this system came in at $2800, a fairly reasonable price for the time. This same system now runs $500 – $600+ less on our website, and this can go even lower with promotions. So, if you’re looking for a beautiful and efficient system, look no further.

CGMagazines and Joe Findlay from all the way up north in Canada seemed to have an excellent experience and provided an incredible review. But you don’t have to take their word for it, head over to our selection of desktops and configure one yourself!
