With frequent updates and rock-solid core gameplay, this battle royale has remained strong despite strong opposition from other titles like Fortnite and Apex Legends, both of which have seen renewed life recently with great updates of their own. The unique features of Warzone have proven to be a winning formula for gamers. The gulag mechanic, scaled-down item management system, the way classes and perks have been implemented, and the general flow of the game itself have resonated both with fans of the genre and with diehard Call of Duty supporters alike. However, there have been some nagging issues that have plagued the game for a while, namely in the form of map changes and the cheater situation. It looks like Raven Software has taken notice and is preparing something special for Warzone fans to chew on alongside the release of this year’s new Call of Duty title, Vanguard.  Below we will be highlighting the changes that have been teased and what fans of the popular BR can expect in the Vanguard era.<h2> </h2><h2> </h2><h2>At Long Last, a New Map?</h2> At the start of the year, the Warzone community anticipated substantial map changes to coincide with the start of Season 3, which was hyped up quite a bit. For what it’s worth, many changes did come to the game, along with a nice in-game event and much-anticipated weapon balances. However, although the map did get a fresh coat of paint and some slight augments and tweaks, it remained basically the same for all intents and purposes. Although the original Warzone map is considered solid by the community, it’s true that after all of this time, it has become somewhat stale. As other popular games in the genre have received massive map updates (Fortnite) or several new maps altogether (Apex Legends, PUBG), Warzone hasn’t been quick to iterate in this area. It looks like things are about to change, however. We may be leaving the familiar streets of Verdansk behind in favor of Pacific island jungles. While we don’t know a whole lot just yet, it has been revealed by Activision that shortly after the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard, Warzone will be getting a completely new map. This isn’t a refresh of Verdansk, but a completely “new experience” in their words, taking place in an entirely new environment that appears to be the diametric opposite of what we are used to. This new map, which as of yet does not have an official name, has a tropical setting. This is a completely different atmosphere than we are used to seeing in Warzone, with the promise of all-new POIs on top of the far more lush environment. What we do know about the map to this point is that it looks less urban and more organic, with an emphasis on natural environments. This could certainly change the feel of Warzone and potentially reduce camping, as the overly urban environments of Verdansk have traditionally encouraged hiding out inside the many buildings. Something that was also noted in the reveal is that this map will run on the same engine as Vanguard, in order to provide a more seamless experience between the different multiplayer modes. This could mean a slightly different feel for the game entirely, as it remains to be seen just how Vanguard plays.<h2> </h2><h2> </h2><h2>Another Major Warzone Update To Look Forward To</h2> Possibly even more exciting than the prospect of a new map is the fact that Activision also announced a completely brand new anti-cheat system that will be going online at the same time. For long-time fans of the game, this is of course a big deal. You could make the argument that the one thing holding Warzone back from being the defacto best battle royale at the moment is the fact that compared to some of the other games in the genre, it is plagued by aimbotters, wall hackers, and cheaters in general. It is an issue that has hampered the experience of playing the game pretty much since it originally took off. With the implementation of a new engine and a tougher anti-cheat system, along with a map that may be less friendly to campers and more conducive to ongoing, fluid action, it looks like this could be the beginning of a new and better era for the game.<h2> </h2><h2>Action-Packed Gameplay Requires The Right Prebuilt Gaming PCs</h2> It makes sense to make sure that you are prepared for what’s coming, however. A new engine plus a more vibrant, detail-rich environment opens up the possibility of performance degradation if you are rocking older specs on your gaming PC. Warzone is not a game that is friendly on the resources as it is, so as we approach the holiday season, this is one more reason to look into powerful prebuilt gaming PCs that will give you the performance boost you need to stay in the action. Warzone is one of those games where every frame matters and decisions have to be made quickly and decisively.
