However, gaming itself is a rare find at the big-time conventions, and big time they are. Sporting just shy of 100,000 attendees in 2021, and likely much higher this year considering pre-Covid LA Comic Con saw 123,000+ in attendance in 2019. This year was different though, with fresh faces and new brains behind the operations of the show, we here at CLX were offered the opportunity to provide a fully-fledged gaming and streaming experience on the show floor. Who would refuse such an exciting opportunity? Not us of course. Despite only having about a month to prepare, we showed up to LA CC and did our thing!</p><p><strong><br data-mce-bogus='1'></strong></p><p><br><strong>But was it worth it?</strong></p><p><br data-mce-bogus='1'></p><p>Truthfully, every show is a unique experience but the framework for the event often sets the tone for what to expect. With LA Comic Con, we weren’t sure how the folks attending would respond. Is gaming too far of a reach? Would it be worth their time to sit and play, or even stream from the CLX Freeplay and Stream Studio areas? Would live gaming content on main stage woo the crowds who come to see voice actors and hunt down their favorite comic books?</p><p><br></p><p>Yes, yes, and yes. Not only was LA CC an amazing experience for us, but the attendees were also a wonderful crowd to support. With 75 CLX SET Freeplay systems we got to meet and hear about many first time PC gamers, now excited to go home and join the modern PC gaming world themselves. We also brought 43 of our CLX RA’s, our high-end gaming and streaming platform, divided between Main Stage and Stream Studio to provide professional gamers and creators alike the opportunity to attend LA CC and still do what they do best.
