# Intel’s 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs are now available!
**CLXGAMING **10/23/2022
**13th Gen goes Beyond Performance.
**
[Intel’s ne w generation](https://www.clxgaming.com/intel-13th-gen) of Core Desktop Processors have just launched and are sweeping the board of performance metrics. Loaded with features to improve streaming, creating, and competing at the highest levels with the latest in hybrid architecture. With the PC gaming market looking to jump into the next level of resolutions and non-existent refresh delay, 13th gen looks to lead the way in progress.
**Designed for the needs of today’s gamers.
**
Supporting the latest version of performance hybrid architecture, 13th gen Intel CPUs aim to push your gameplay beyond performance, giving you the power to do it all. With Performance-cores and Efficient-cores balancing out the workload placed on your CPU, further optimized with Intel’s Thread Director to keep your gaming free of interruptions.
**Equipping Intel’s 13th gen processor in your battle station.
**
Despite its brand-new footprint on the PC consumer marker, Intel’s new 13th gen CPU supports a lot of backwards compatibility making it a quick and easy upgrade if you’re looking for that additional edge. Supporting both the earlier generation of DDR4 Memory and the more recent DDR5 RAM, as well as matching existing LGA1700 CPU sockets allows a 13000 CPU to be socketed into current builds. Likewise existing Z690 motherboards with the LGA1700 socket will be as simple as swapping the current CPU for a 13th gen such as the 13900K.
Likewise, 13th gen is also forward thinking, and supports improved connectivity with Thunderbolt 4 technology to offer a quick and simple way to connect peripherals. Additionally, you can now connect online with Intel’s Killer Wi-Fi 6/6E (Gig+) for that competitive edge via a smooth and stable connection. The CPU is widely regarded as the brain of your PC, upgrading to a 13th gen Intel CPU is shaping up the be a major upgrade for nearly any configuration.
**So, what’s new?**
Intel’s 13th gen CPUs come in 3 categories, i5, i7, and i9. Within each category is a few configuration but the quick and easy specs are such:
- Intel i5 up to 5.1GHz with 14 Cores & 20 Threads
- Intel i7 up to 5.4GHz with 16 Cores & 24 Threads
- Intel i9 up to 5.8GHz with 24 Cores & 32 Threads
Here at CLX we currently offer all the way from the i5-13600KF to the i9-13900K, allowing a range of high-performance Intel CPU options that remain affordable. These new Intel 13th gen processors are showing very promising stats in testing, while we aren’t prepared quite yet to show off the nitty gritty in terms of stats yet, things are looking good. With Intel’s Thread Director technology balancing the workload of your cores, streaming in 1080p, and even 1440p off CPU encoding looks to be viable.
